Is Jamaican Black Castor Oil Good For Growing Eyebrows & Lashes
Using a well-formulated Jamaican Black Castor Oil on your brow and lashes can help with keeping your hair strong and nourished. This will result in less fallout, leaving you with thicker-looking lashes and brows.
Using pure Jamaican castor oil on your brows may not be as effective for the regeneration of newer follicles. However, it’s a perfect nourishing serum for healthy skin and existing strands.
Benefits Of Jamaican Black Castor Oil For Brows And Lashes
1 – Stimulates the lash lids and eyebrow areas when applied.
Castor oil’s Primary constituent is Ricinoleic acid, an active compound that helps with stimulating the areas applied to it. Stimulation encourages blood circulation to the nerve-ending which provides the necessary nutrients and oxygen levels for maintaining healthy follicles.
2 – Moisturize and Hydrates your eyelids and brow areas.
Maintaining strong hair and follicles comes with maintaining healthy skin (the foundation). Jamaican black castor oil consists of nurturing benefits that provide hydration and moisturization to your brows and lash areas.
3 – Protect against inflammation
Jamaican black castor oils contain high levels of ricinoleic acid. This omega-9 has pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects, which will protect against follicles inflammation, which most of the time leads to eyelash and brow fallout.
4 – Fight against hair loss caused by bacteria and fungi
Castor Oil has great anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, that protect your follicles and pores from becoming infected by bacteria and fungi. As they can feed and inflame your follicles, leading to lash and brow hairs fallouts.
5 – Perfect oil for waxing, sugaring, threading & lasering aftercare.
Jamaican black castor oil provides a calming sensation to our skin after it has had a traumatizing experience from waxing and threading. which also helps in fading post-trauma hyperpigmentation from your brows area.

How to Use Jamaican Black Castor Oil On Eyebrows
Below I will share with your the application method that has transformed my thin & weak hair into healthier, stronger, and fuller-looking eyebrows. However, before proceeding always patch test your castor oil 24 hours before application, to check for any adverse reaction. Once safe you may…
- Cleanse your Eyebrow Areas
Ensuring clean eyebrow hair and skin area will help to boost the effectiveness of your castor oil.
- Ensure that brows are dry
After washing with mild soap, use a clean towel and pat dry.
- Dermaroll your eyebrow areas
Deramarolling is a great added step that will help bring activity to the skin areas which encourages stimulation. Always ensure that your dermarolls are clean and sterilized before using.
- Apply your Jamaican Black castor oil
Take a cotton pad/ cue tip and saturated it in your castor oil, and gently press it against your brows area. Avoid rubbing motions as this can irritate the skin after dermarolling.
I would normally use this method as often as once every 2-3 days. However, I will still use my castor oil 1-2 times on a daily base.
How To Use Jamaican Black Castor Oil On Eyelashes
- Wash your lashes with mild face wash/ soap and pat dry.
- Use a clean spoolie and apply a bit of your Jamaican black castor oil to your lashes. fully coating your strands.
- Ensure to get the area of your eyelids where your hair sprouts from.
- When finish, let it sit for a while and then gently cleanse them after a few hours.
When applying to lashes, always be cautious and keep the product from getting into your eyes, as it can lead to mild irritation. You can repeat this as often as you like but my personal preference is doing this twice daily.
How Long To Leave Jamaican Black Castor Oil On Brows
You can apply your Jamaican black castor oil twice daily to your brows and eyelashes. First in the morning after washing your face and/or the evening before heading to bed.
How Long Does Jamaican Black Castor Oil Takes To Work On Eyebrows & Lashes
Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a natural option for nourishing your eyebrow and eyelash. This oil encourages healthy follicles and strong strands. However, for the regeneration of actual follicles, it may not be as successful as serums that are specifically formulated for those purposes.
