1 – Mixing Aspirins With Aloe Vera

Aspirins contain active ingredients like salicylates, which helps to fight off bacteria leading to pimples, breakouts, and even ingrown hair. Because it penetrates deep into our pores it is able to truly reaches them, giving us smooth clean skin.

3 – Cold Compress

Using a cooling compress on the area will help with bumps and swelling as it will help calm the skin, close open pores, and even subside any redness.

What To Avoid After Threading

So we have already covered what to DO’s before threading. So now we will discuss all the DON’Ts. After any threading session regardless of which area threaded you should:

  1. Avoid washing your face (or other areas threaded) sooner than 24 hours after the session.
  2. Avoid direct sunlight as it can irritate the skin.
  3. Refrain from constantly touching the area as it can transfer bacteria leading to infected pores and bruises.
  4. Stay away from harsh face wash and soap bars.
  5. Do not exfoliate the area until 2-3 days after the threading session.
  6. Do not miss applying your sunscreen and moisturizers when needed.

Threading can be very traumatizing to our skin, especially sensitive areas such as our face and bikini areas. It is recommended to apply a light nourishing moisturizer after any threading session. This will help soothe your skin and return it to a calm state.

Can I Wash My Face After Threading

After any threading session, you would be recommended to wait until 24 hours before washing your face. This is because your skin is still recovering and returning to its normal calm state.

Washing face before time may lead to:

  1. Irritation to the skin because of rubbing motion
  2. You are only aggravating the area
  3. Redness
  4. Swelling
  5. Minor bruises getting larger
  6. Ingredients in face wash may react differently to your now more sensitive skin
  7. You may experience a burning sensation
  8. The irritation could further lead to acne and pimples
  9. You are risking the chances of transferring bacteria to your open pores, causing inflamed pores and follicles

Tea Tree Oil After Threading

Tea Tree oil is an essential oil. When mixed with any carrier oil, it works great on your skin after any threading session. This is because it disinfects minor cuts and bruises, kills bacteria, and soothes inflamed pores. Citation

Can I Apply Aloe Vera After Threading
